I think it would be nice to be able to remove one's own comments. The whole point of disabling a comment is to make it irrelevant to the discussion, but if it can still be viewed by everyone, why even bother disabling it?

I have written my fair share of stupid comments and I assume everyone does for various reasons (tired, emotional state, etc). Leaving momentary lapses for everyone to see for all eternity is rather disheartening, just like you wouldn't constantly remind someone IRL of their mistake x years back.

I hope you would consider making this change.
