White is unlikely to fix the shape by immediately capturing F4&F6, but, viewed locally, would protect against the cut at F6. Black will then have a choice of taking sente (much more likely but depends on the whole board picture), or defending F4&F6. So black has two choices; Black G2, White F6, Black Sente or Black G4 or Black D2, White F6, Black Sente or Black H5. The latter is better shape and leaves less agi. |
